Rafael Sebastián is founding partner of Noguera Sebastián. His professional practice focuses on company law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as financial law. He has extensive experience in advising companies in financial difficulty, including his involvement in insolvency proceedings and corporate restructuring processes.
He has spent much of his professional career at Uría Menéndez, a firm he joined in 1990 and where he was a partner in the Commercial Practice Group, whilst also serving as head of the offices in New York, Barcelona and Madrid. Prior to that, he was head of the Legal Department, general secretary and secretary to the Board of Directors at Citibank España, S.A.
His experience covers a wide range of corporate and financial matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate restructuring. Furthermore, he has been involved in some of the most significant insolvency proceedings affecting Spanish and international companies.
His career has been consistently recognised by the leading international legal directories, including Chambers Global, International Who’s Who of Lawyers, The Who’s Who Legal and IFLR1000.
